The aircraft is to be certified by EASA, and the electric engines are already certified by EASA. Entry into service is expected in 2025. Pipistrel currently have a very small number of firm orders on their books.</p><h2>Structure and Powertrain</h2><p>The V300 can transport a maximum of 460 kg/1014 lbs. of cargo. The aircraft features a tandem wing configuration, with a low wing positioned toward the front of the airframe and a high wing toward the rear. The two wings are connected via a boom running parallel on each side of the fuselage and extending beyond the wings to the front and rear. Four lift fans are located one on each end of each boom, and a further four are located two on each boom, positioned between the front and rear wings. The lift fans are to be powered by their own individual Pipistrel E-811 electric engine. A pusher propellor is located on the rear of the fuselage, to be powered by a high-efficiency FADEC internal combustion engine, and the nose of the fuselage hinges upward to allow for cargo loading/unloading. The entire powertrain, including the battery, is to be liquid cooled.
